today was Skye's last day at her preschool. we're leaving tomorrow for a week long trip to North Carolina, so Skye will miss the last few days of school. i think all the adults were sadder than Skye. her teacher was getting teary even, but Skye was all excited it was her last day of school. don't get me wrong, she LOVES school, but she was all excited about the trip to North Carolina. she's SO looking forward to warm weather! yeah, it's still a little chilly here.
anyways, it truly hit me today that Skye is growing up - gosh, she's going to kindergarten once the summer is over! saying goodbye to all the teachers at the preschool was like saying goodbye to another phase in Skye's life. at the same time, it was great to see all the teachers looking forward to welcoming Claire when it will be her time to start school.
well, preschool has been a wonderful experience for our Skye. i hope elementary school also proves to be the same.
